A Renewed Look at the Church's Vision

In implementing our Church’s restored rites for the Christian Initiation of Adults, often parishes have simply interspersed the expanded-over-time rituals of Infant Baptism over an expanded version of their previous “convert instruction” program while at the same time including some laity and not just the priest in the program. However, the Church’s vision is for a renewed catechetical-liturgical process of formation. This workshop will explore the Church’s vision through the lens of the transitional rites of the recently revised sacramental ritual book. It will also look at the ritual process for the baptized person and explore the ministries of Sponsor and Godparent.
